DSLR Camera and Lens Combo Mambo

I am in the process of deciding what new DSLR and lens combo to buy. There are so many choices out there. What do you recommend for street, landscape and travel photography? What camera and lens combo  makes sense to you?

First of all, what's your budget? That plays a big part in what you choose. Also, what are you hoping to do it with it? Move forward in a professional capacity, or just for snapshot/hobby use? There's no use in spending big ferria if you're not going to use it all, know what I mean? Let me know, and I'll point you in the right direction. Cool?

Well... I just read your bio, and I feel a bit like a pendejo! You are a professional photographer, so my bad! I came across your post on google and. as I'm always trying to help out anyone trying to start off, I answered assuming you were someone new to photography. My apologies.

I currently own a Canon 7D with a 50mm 1.4, and a small zoom, though I used to own the full frame Canon 5D MKII, which was awesome. I've a few friends that are shooting portraits with the MKIII and an 85mm 1.2 L lens, but that's beaucoup bucks right there.

Hope you find your camera!

I have been a professional photographer for decades. As I noted, I need a camera and lens combo that will be a great tool. My goal has always been to capture exhibition-quality photographs. I mainly shoot street, landscape and travel. I have a combo in mind, but what do you think I should get. I am spending about $6k.
